Cinemagraphs

There is a new photography trend going on right now called cinemagraphs: "still photographs in which a minor and repeated movement occurs. Cinemagraphs, which are usually published in an animated GIF format, can give the illusion that the viewer is watching a video." (Source: Wikipedia)

How can I take better pictures?

So many people ask me "How can I take better pictures?"

My answer: read a little and looks at photos.  One of the first things I learned was the "Rule of Thirds".  Once you learn about it, you will look at photos in a different way.

Here are 3 links to websites that have great articles on photography.

A new start

Welcome to a new start for fac73.com.

I will try to post more often and share some of the stuff/projects I am working on, as well as interesting stuff I find.  Topics will be related to my interest in travel, food, culture, music, and of course, photography.  There will probably be other stuff of interest, but we'll see how it goes.
